Guide Server Guidelines

[White City Chicago]

White City Roleplay is a serious roleplay community focused on realistic character development, immersive storytelling, and high-quality interactions. All members are expected to contribute positively to the community and maintain a respectful environment both in-game and across all community platforms.

Community Guidelines

• All characters must have realistic names that fit the server's setting.
• Character names may not violate platform Terms of Service or contain offensive, inappropriate, or troll-related content.
• Alternate characters must be unique and have their own storylines, personalities, and goals.
• All members must follow applicable platform Terms of Service at all times.
• Speaking on the IRL deceased is strictly prohibited and violators of this rule will be handled appropriately.
• Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, targeted insults, bullying, or excessive toxicity are strictly prohibited.
• Discussions involving real-world deceased individuals in a disrespectful or provocative manner are forbidden.
• Doxxing, leaking personal information, threats, intimidation, or attempts to harm another player outside of roleplay will result in severe punishment.
• Players may not discourage, harass, or target others for out-of-character reasons.
• "It's what my character would do" is never a valid excuse for poor roleplay, rule violations, or malicious behavior.

Respect & Professionalism

• Treat all players, staff members, and community members with respect.
• Reports, appeals, and administrative discussions must remain professional.
• Public arguments, report baiting, harassment through reports, and toxic behavior during administrative investigations are prohibited.
• Staff decisions must be respected while investigations are ongoing.

Roleplay Quality & Guidelines

• White City Roleplay prioritizes story-driven roleplay over repetitive conflict and grinding.
• Every action should have believable character motivation and realistic consequences.
• Players are expected to roleplay injuries, fear, emotions, and outcomes appropriately.
• Poor escalation, unrealistic behavior, and low-effort roleplay may be punished even if a specific rule is not listed.

The following roleplay is strictly prohibited:

• Rape or sexual assault.
• Non-consensual sexual interactions.
• Sexual roleplay involving minors.
• Excessively graphic sexual content.
• Terrorism roleplay.
• Hate crime roleplay designed solely to target or harass players.
• Any roleplay that violates platform Terms of Service.

Metagaming
Metagaming is the use of out-of-character (OOC) information to benefit your character in-character (IC). Your character can only know information they have realistically learned through roleplay. If your character did not personally witness, hear, discover, or receive information through roleplay, then your character does not know it. Examples Below:

• Reading OOC chat and acting on that information IC.
• Watching a player's livestream and using information gained from it.
• Using Discord messages, DMs, Twitch chat, TikTok streams, screenshots, or other external sources to gain information IC.
• Looking up a player's identity through Discord and using it in-game.
• Telling friends where you are through Discord instead of in-game communication.
• Calling allies into a situation through external communications.
• Relaying police locations through Discord.
• Sharing locations, vehicle descriptions, weapons, or player activities outside of roleplay.
• Watching someone's stream while on the server.
• Using stream information to locate, follow, avoid, rob, or attack another player.
• Using a stream to gain any advantage, regardless of intent.
• Using information learned on Character A to benefit Character B.
• Creating a new character and retaining information from a previous character.
• Using information from a deceased or CK'd character.

Powergaming
Powergaming is forcing roleplay outcomes, performing unrealistic actions, or taking actions that remove another player's ability to fairly participate in roleplay. Your character is not a superhero, action movie protagonist, or invincible fighter. Examples Below:

• Performing actions impossible for a normal human.
• Ignoring severe injuries.
• Performing unrealistic athletic feats.
• Carrying unrealistic amounts of equipment.
• Instantly recovering from injuries.

Consequences: Any Class Depending on the Situation [Class C - Class D] - or Removal from the White City Community.

General Guidelines

• Players must remain in character at all times unless required by staff.
• Local OOC should only be used when absolutely necessary.
• Metagaming through Discord, streams, social media, voice calls, or other external platforms is prohibited.
• Stream sniping is strictly forbidden and may result in permanent removal.

Staff retain the authority to intervene in situations not specifically covered by written rules when actions:

• Damage roleplay quality.
• Create an unfair advantage.
• Harm the community environment.
• Intentionally circumvent server rules.

Administrative discretion exists to protect the quality and integrity of White City Roleplay and may be used when necessary.

Class A

• Verbal Warning
• Administrative Jail
• Up to 12 Hour Suspension

Class B

• 1 to 7 Day Suspension

Class C

• 7 to 30 Day Suspension

Class D

• Permanent Ban (Appealable at Staff Discretion)

Punishments may be increased based on severity, prior history, intent, or repeated violations.
